Hi there! I am passionate about helping companies use their unique assets and people to positively impact communities. Over the last 15 years, I have driven socially responsible strategies for Empower Retirement/Great-West Financial, Janus Henderson, and The Denver Post. Currently I am the Director of Social Impact for Twilio, overseeing nonprofit grants, seed and series A social enterprise investments, and employee pro bono, skills-based and direct service volunteering.

Christina is passionate about helping companies use their unique assets and people to positively impact communities. Over the last 15 years, she has driven socially responsible strategies for Empower Retirement/Great-West Financial, Janus Henderson, and The Denver Post. Currently she is the Director of Social Impact for Twilio, a global cloud communications company. She oversees global corporate citizenship initiatives, including $21M in nonprofit grants, seed and series A social enterprise investments, and employee pro bono, skills-based and direct service volunteering.

Prior to joining Twilio, Christina was the Assistant Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility, Inclusion and Talent Acquisition at Empower Retirement/Great-West Financial, a financial services company with over $650B in assets. In her role, she led the vision, strategy and execution of the organization’s global corporate philanthropy, recruiting, diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Previously, she served as the Manager of Community Relations, Sponsorships and Events at Janus Capital Group (now Janus Henderson) where she managed corporate sponsorships, charitable marketing and the Janus Foundation. Before that, Christina was the Community Relations Manager for The Denver Post Ride The Rockies, an annual 425-mile bicycle tour across Colorado for 2,000+ cyclists that raised money for Colorado education programs.

Christina enjoys supporting her community through nonprofit board membership and volunteerism. She currently serves on the Board of B:Civic and RAINN’s National Leadership Council. She has been a mentor for Stanford University’s Latino Business Entrepreneurship Network, a member of the Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation, Chair of the Board of mpowered, and a founding member of the American Red Cross’ young professionals committee, among other activities.

Christina holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Emory University and an Executive Certificate in Corporate Community Involvement from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College. She lives in Denver with her husband and two children where they enjoy skiing and hiking Colorado’s beautiful mountains.
